THE DEATH OF ME

For all the wrong reasons, i know, my title is little odd, to say the least, but I want to pitch this post with fun and less technical.

By the way, Happy 2017! yay!

I have been staring to this canvass for quite a long time now. I couldn't wrap my mind to any aspect of my life. Every thing is hazy and blur.

I transitioned the year through an island escapade. The first time I walked out my door, without a concrete plan, no safety nets, just blazing hope in my heart.

It went well. So well that I am scheduling my next trip to Koh Larn [Island located near Pattaya City].

2016 has been a good year. Although I was wrecked by too many revelations and was tortured I have emerged victorious and that what matters.

I wish I won't fall in love this year. Fingers crossed.

THE ANTI

My view in politics is not new – for a person who is interested about how people behave and think, I find Pres. Duterte the particular food that doesn’t make sense to me and just the food I need to survive.

15 million Filipino people believed that our ironclad leader to be the God-given tool for Philippines, I, too, believe in his vision but I am not one of the 15 million Filipinos rallied behind Pres. Duterte. I was always Sen. Miriam's minions.

President Duterte has remarkably delivered in his first 6 months. The results were astounding compare to his predecessors. However, in his sense of diplomacy, which he failed miserably, is where people see me as anti.

Then the demagogue’s rhetoric that come across as insult and argumentative, ‘ikaw nalang pag presidente’ --- is a rebut mostly from people who doesn’t want to take into consideration that ideas stemmed from different shapes, and not just isolated to quantum of individuals.

The principle you take in as human greatly affects your perception and that is what makes this world beautifully diverse. In my case, I see diplomacy as one of the pivots towards keeping the society’s lucidity.

Speaking of clarity and conciseness, our media as well has failed substantially. But that is not the reason our Presidents’ notorious splurging unconventional words. He is self-entitled undiplomatic and Media has capitalize on that plane.  One thing I admire about Pres. Duterte is his impeccable self-awareness. However, he seemed unaware of the vastness of impact that his words inflict to our generation.

Catcalling has been one of the attributes of Cebuanos, which at first is fun but when the whistles’ intent camouflage as fun, it is another story to tell.

“mas maayo paman kang Duterte, ikaw nalang pag Presidente” – If only these people aren’t my friends, I would be leaving the room without further discussion. I believe his sharp leadership is making difference but I am not emboldened by a rhetoric that only proves bigotry ( I really do not want to use this term but I guess I am out of words). I also want to learn and that’s why healthy conversations is what I intend to keep. But when arguments turn into scraping insults, I have to leave.

I am not a demagogue. I do not want to appear convening on notions that come across as political satire but theoretically damaging. My stance is where my heart and brain meets from different phases of the political plane.

I AM NOT ANTI. I am one of those Filipinos who believe that our President could deliver our nation from illegal drug trade and that he is a trash-talker. People need to realize that my beliefs don’t make our President less of a leader. You might as well just take my opinion to trash or examine it in another perspective. It is just how I feel every time he damages his political persona. Or may be I am confined to a depleting notion that diplomacy is still alive.

There was this story featured in an article. The trip to Japan (uncertain) that when God reminded him of some sort and should stop cursing. After a while he intently laughed at those who believed downplaying the lie into a mere senseless joke. Slut-shaming a female senator could not be more detrimental granting the immense power he wields.

I may come across as pro-Delima but I can assure you I am NOT. De Lima is the last person I would save in a burning Senate. But she deserves respect just as those who were killed without trial.

His fans abroad are demographically encompassing. You have no idea how they have trolled every anti-Duterte in forums they could wrap their mind into. They are avid supporters. They are as well demagogues hiding behind the screens. I truly understand them in the sense that we also understand how important electing Pres. Duterte to Malacañang. This change is vital to our children's future. We can't afford to be the slack of the equation and let our future generation fix our mistakes. We ought to know better.

Living abroad has opened the eyes of many to substantial governing difference. They want change. Everybody wants change.

ALL IS WELL. I AM NOT ANTI NOR HATER. I WANT HIM TO SUCCEED AS MUCH AS YOU DO. LESS TALK MORE RESULTS AS HE HAS PROMISED.

How about poverty and education? I know it’s too early to ask but I am really waiting our President to tend the chronic wounds. The root of Philippine conundrum is the paradox between corrupt officials and poverty. We have no place to go but to extremes.

I believe his choice of words doesn’t make him any less of a leader just as it doesn't make him any less capable.
